Mohawk Technology Five-Stage Process

The used oil refinery process is done by means of Thin Film Evaporation and Hydro-finishing Distillation method. This method is internationally recognized as the best refinery process as it is able to separate the total content oil material from its residue. Hence, the base oil derived is recognized to be of better quality than that directly derived from petroleum. The refinery process with this method is done in five stages.

First stage: Used oil is reacted with Mohawk’s innovation of chemical substances. Its purpose is to separate the water content in the used oil and to guarantee the smoothness of the refinery process, preventing from clog and rust.

Second Stage: Used oil which is free from water content is distilled in vacuum condition. This process is to separate unintentionally taken fuel such as diesel engine oil.

 Third Stage: Used oil freed from water content and fuel, separated from residue taken by Thin Film Evaporator device. The device brought from Germany works in a high vacuum condition. This third stage yields distilled oil free from fuel and residue.

Fourth stage: The base oil which still contains sulphur, chlor and at the molecular level a bond is formed among carbon atoms is reacted with hydrogen through Catalitic Hydro-finishing process. Its purpose is to re-saturate the bond among the carbon atoms and to free it from sulphur and chlor content. This process produced clear base oil which is very stable against oxidation reaction as to guarantee the maximum efficiency of the oil. This oil even has a better quality than base oil derived directly from crude oil.

Fifth stage: Fractionization against the perfect base oil to obtain heavy and light base oil.

All the refinery processes are automatically done controlled by computer and strictly monitored as to ensure that there is no single drop of oil fall to the ground which potentially pollutes the environment.
